MALL OF DHAHRAN & IKEA

Sesapa yg terbaca cepat sgt, sila la layan gambar2 ni dulu ye. I x sempat menulis, my babies dh terjaga. kena layan depa dulu. Hehehhe...nanti i edit later..

Okeh dah siap setel sang puteri dua beradik bersiram dan bersantap, barulah boleh mak dayang nak berblogging...

Back to cerita asal, Mall of Dhahran nih terletak kat jalan nak ke Al-Khobar tu jugak. hahahha sebenaqnya I pun xtau nak habaq kat mana.tapi mmg jalan yg sama jek nak ke Al-Khobar. yg penting, ada GPS, masuk je nama tempat,dia akan guide.easy.hehehe...

Kat dalam mall ni biasalah,tempat shoppinglah. Akan tetapi, tempat ni masih agak baru, so byk lagi kedai yg "opening soon". Bila kami sampai, elok2 jek time azan Asar. so bila masuk, kedai2 semua tgh padam lampu. tapi baguslah jugak kan, kami pun boleh terus solat dulu. kalau tidak, mau terlajak waktu kalau dh ralit bershopping.

Satu benda yg i nak puji, kat Saudi ni, surau-surau yg disediakan di kebanyakan mall yg kami dah pi, mmg best, besar, luas, selesa n macam masjid! Mcm kat Dhahran Mall ni, surau dia siap sedia tempat utk kanak2 main (supaya x kacau mak-mak yg tgh solat), and tempat wuduk pun sgt luas, with auto-sensor pipes lagi. Cuma tu lah...i still wonder, why depa takleh buat toilet n surau kat R&R depa tu lawa2 camnih???

So lepas solat Asar kami round2. Amet suggest to carikan clothes as preparation for winter. Masuk Debenhams and belikan long socks for the sisters. then jalan2 lagik, just dapat one winter coat for Zuzu. utk Yaya punya x dpt cari yg sesuai, so postponed lah dulu.

Baru jek plan nak gi makan Chili's, tetiba dah azan Maghrib. huhuhuu... tak sempat nak terkam masuk, pintu restoran dah kunci... nampak pulak Tony Roma's, terliur telan air liur jek la... nak tunggu kedai bukak, mcm lambat jugak. so Amet suggest kami pi Ikea n solat Maghrib kat sana jek. Huhuhu...gudbye Tony, nanti i datang lain kali okeh...

IKEAActually Ikea ni berhadapan jek dgn Dhahran Mall tuh. tapi sbb naik keta nak kena masuk trafic light dan u-turn segala bagai lah. (Gambar Ikea di atas diambil dari parking Dhahran Mall).

Lepas solat, kami makan dulu kat cafe Ikea nih. biasalah menu Ikea, wajib ada Swedish meatball tuh. memula niat I mmg nak mkn meatball.pastu bila tgh queue tu, terorder plak Chicken Stir Fry+Rice. Bila makan....hmmm kecewa lagilah nampaknya...Nasib baik I ada sambar sepinggan Caesar Salad tadi, boleh la buat isi perut.

Amet plak mkn nasik dgn herbs fish (apa ke nama ntah). Yg penting, depa punya portion kat sini mmg ala Arab lah, penuh menggunung pinggan! An Oreo Cheesecake for Zuzu, and Nugget+fries for Yaya.

Zuzu ada misai mcm ayah..

Setelah meronda semua showroom, kaki pun dah lenguh. Maka baliklah ke istana hamba nun di Jubail. Oh oh apa yg I beli? Hehehhe... tak banyak pun. Just beli cermin, curtain rods (4 batang), meja yg empat segi tu (trademark Ikea nih), throw pillow (2 bijik), rak buku, cartoon cutains (utk bilik tuan puteri - konon2 je, mcm la mau tido sendiri), dan lain2 barang dapur (ibu punyalah banyak sekali heheheh). And ntah Hantu Raya mana hasut I, semua barang nak beli kaler MERAH. meja, bantai, curtain, sampaikan ke senduk pun I pilih kaler merah huhuhu..

Cuma tak puas hati sikit, sbb x dapat cari mangkuk2 kecik yg colourful tu. mmg betoi2 serbaguna mangkuk tuh. I pun just bawak 2 bijik jek dari KL, kalau bawak 1 set bukannya berat mana pun, iskkk....

A MOTHER'S BLUESSS

Sorry, but at times I do feel that it’s quite hard and tough and exhausting to handle these 2 little handful girls. Huhuhu… so bad I have that feeling huh?

Well, actually tak lah banyak sgt benda yg depa makes me mad. Its just that I have to sapu tumpahan makanan each time depa makan, which means 5-6 times a day je. Better, if the tumpahan is oily or melekit so I just need to mop the floor. Very simple, rite?

Other things I have to do is just mengemas the toys well, maybe 10 times daily, only. Asking them to do it is just make me sakit tekak (even now my voice is already parau due to non-stop talking and berleter).

Yaya, the one who really loves drawing and writing – do that on walls and floors and ibu is always there to clean it. Don’t worry dear! Keep up ur good work! And she loves to read the flash cards herself too, so setakat bersepah penuh hall tu..small matter jeh sayang…

Zuzu, nowadays that she’s getting taller she can reach almost everything on the kitchen cabinet. Since she’s still sampai-tak berapa sampai- height, sumtime also spill the air asam, santan, or gravy on the floor. But hey, its ok hunney, ibu mmg takde keja lain… buat lagi yeee….

And maybe sbb rasa sunyi, or xdek kawan2 mcm kat babysitter dulu, they keep on following me wherever I go. To the kitchen, sidai kain, or be it to the loo. Bila ibu nak cepat, contoh : air dlm washing machine penuh and api atas dapur nak kena tutup, ibu will accidently melanggar depa and they will cry and ibu will have to stop doing all the tasks and calm them down first, ( which usually end up with makan ice-cream, or chocolate) or otherwise mmg tak bleh buat keja langsung.

And semalam, both of them happily memunggah kain baju yg I dah lipat. Peeenuuuhhhhhhh selerak satu bilik….and actually, masa I masuk bilik tu, I baru je lepas habis mengemop satu rumah sbb cik Zuzu dh muntah sambil berlari dari hall ke toilet! Owh owh owh!!! Now, tell me, how can I say that is not tiring? Sob sob sob L

But…thinking deeply, I am the one who asked for the child and Allah granted. Then why shuld I question it back now? Forgive me.

Bila fikir balik, all this while I’ve sent them to babysitter and I just take care of them at night which is just about 4-5 hours, and then they fall asleep. Itupun x tolak masa I masak kt dapur, or watching tv. So berapa jam sgt I spend time with them masa I keja dulu? That time, I was so badly wish that I always have more n more time for them.

Dan sebenarnya, kalau I renung betul-betul, di sebalik kepenatan n keletihan tu, there is always the moment of happiness and joy…just now, when Zuzu and Yaya were mandi-manda in the bath tub,depa menjerit-jerit tak hingat and bising giler mcm dah tak mandi setahun. So I pun datang nak marah. However, bila Zuzu said “ Ibu..ibu tengok kakak jadi puyong…” and dia buat posing ala-ala duyong berehat kat batu gitu…Hahhahaha….it makes me really laugh sampai terkeluar air mata…(puyong means duyung, anyway).

And now Yaya can also speaks, but of course in her pelat. And its only ibu who really understand what she says. So ibu is also a translator when Yaya is talking to ayah :)

And she got a new habit now.

Yaya : Bu…nak wah tan… (Ibu, nk buah rambutan – actually semua buah dia pangil buah rambutan)

Ibu : Buah dh finish..nanti ayah belikan lagi…

Yaya : Haaa? Haaa? Haaa? Haaa? (Buat2 tak dengar kalau benda yg dia tak suka dengar)

Hmmmm…isn’t that enough to make yue thankful of what yue have now? Yue shuld be gratefull with all the tiny, meaningful things yue have in life, because not everybody have the chance to have what yue have now….

HUWAYLAT MALL

Sila refer to tulisan jawi kat belakang tu - Al-Huwailat. that is the mall's name. Actually mall ni x lah besar mana sgt. satu tingkat jek. and just ada kedai2 biasa, sikit restoran, games (yg ni mesti ada. geramnyah!!), and ada jgk satu Panda Supermarket dlm tu. This mall terletak kat Fanateer, dekat jek dari rumah. so kami pi lepas Maghrib.

After pusing2 mall, xdek beli apa pun. oh ada! both me n Amet menggatai pasang screen protector for our BBs which at the end i nyesal jgk sbb x lawa sob sob :( I always prefer my phones to be in its original (x suka okeh tukar2 skin ke hapa since pakai nokia cabuk dulu lagi..)

Disebabkan x best, we decided to go out and ronda-ronda jek area Fanateer tuh. Nampak satu kedai Babyshop yg besar. Interesting. Tapi..by the time kami sampai it's already azan Isyak. Oh okeh, satu lagi kat sini, kalau time azan /solat mmg semua kedai akan immidiately tutup lampu n tutup pintu. so kami pun dok la diam2 keras kt dlm keta while waiting org habis solat.

Bila kedai dh bukak, we all serbu masuk and the shop.....is reallly big, and full of babies n kiddies clothes n stuffs..!!! and it was sales going on too!!! Hehehhehe i loikee!!!
Mauk-masuk jek, Zuzu dh terus sambar satu Mickey Mouse bag for herself, while Yaya xtau berlari buat tawaf berapa pusingan dlm kedai tuh. Pilih punya pilih, last sekali we just bought a summer gown+hat and a T-shirt for Yaya, a pair of blouse+skirt and a beg+drinking bottle for Zuzu.

Perut pun dh lapar, tapi still xtau nak makan apa. Lastly, pilih Burger King. Huhuhuhu..mana laa nak carik kedai mamak yg ada juai goreng2 ke..kalau ada kue teow kantonis ke, nasik goreng kerabu ke, isk sedap no...

THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM

Kawan-kawanku orang Johor (Nora, Arina, Cik Rai) sila jgn gelakkan bihun soto i ni ye..ni sajalah yg mampu sbb kat sini mmg tak ada taugeh. berpuluh kedai sayur i dh pi merata i tanyakan taugeh (of course i ckp beansprout okeh), tp sampai hati depa buat muka blurr jek. Sob sob sob...dah la i ni mmg peminat taugeh (walaupun i pendek). sedih giler dh sebulan tak dapat makan taugeh. terasa-rasa kerangupannya dalam mulut huhuhuhu...So i pun bagi nama Bihun Soto Cacat sbb x cukup bahan. tapi kira oklah i ada buat bergedel tu kan. sedap x sedap last2 telan habis gak seperiuk heheheh...

Okeh entri kali ni sebenarnya nak cerita beberapa perkara yang dianggap LARANGAN atau PELIK TAPI BENAR kat Saudi nih.

For me, after sebulan memakai Abaya kemana-mana, I mula rasa selesa and already get used to it. Especially time nak solat, ambik wuduk then terus jek perform solat. Tak perlu fikir nak bwk telekung or what. Senang sgt and I like that! And ingat, kat sini jgn cuba tanya/cari kain telekung kat mana2 surau or masjid dia sbb mmg x ada okeh.

Seperti yg semua sudah maklum, wanita Arab di Arab Saudi nih (tak termasuk negara2 jiran mcm UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan etc) adalah WAJIB memakai hijab a.k.a purdah. Dan jihab ini hendaklah menutup bahagian dahi dan dari hidung ke seluruh bahagian muka. Hanya mata yg boleh nampak, malah ada yg menutup semua termasuk mata (pakai kain jarang). While me, just pakai hijab masa nak ke pekan Jubail, or market a.k.a pasar basah or tempat yg ramai giler lelaki pelik2 tuh.

Sehubungan itu, di restoran-restoran akan disediakan ruangan keluarga (Family Section). Satu bahgian lagi dipanggil Single Section, means for men, tak kira depa datang sorang or in group. Wanita adalah dilarang sama sekali untuk menjejakkan kaki ke bhgn ini. Walaupun sekadar utk menunggu sekejap as 5 minit pun x boleh. Otherwise anda akan dihalau. So ingat, klu nak tunggu ur husband tapau pun mesti tunggu kat Family Section okeh (I dah kena sbb tu ingat sgt huhuhuhu…).

And family section ni disediakan bilik2 pulak, siap dgn tirainya sekali sbb bila nak mkn, wanita Arab akan terpaksa bukak hijab and definitely org lain x bleh tgok muka dia.

Ini contoh family section @Burger King yg ada bilik2...

Well, ada jgk family section sesetengah restoran yg xdek bilik2 camtu. Tapi kat sini the ladies x akan bukak hijabnya sbb ada lelaki dr family lain yg duduk situ. So depa akan minum/makan dgn hanya menyelak sikit hijab tu, means x bukak terus. Usually family section yg style mcm ni hanya for cafes like Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts etc.

And masa nak order makanan pun, kat mana2 restoran / food court akan ada Ladies Line. So silalah beratur kt situ. Jgn gatai2 nak suka hati mana2 jek okeh.

Okeh, talking about the wanita Arab yg begitu menjaga auratnya, I still get confuse about few things here. Most of them mmg suka sangat pakai nail color, or as we always call, Cutex. Seriyesss..ramai giler yg pakai cat kuku nih.dah la letak kaler bukan2 hijau la, biru, purple, and of course yg merah n pink tuh berlambak2 giler lah. And this thing mmg dijual banyak giler jugak kat mana2 kedai kosmetik. Yang lagi pelik, masa gi solat kat surau pun bleh napak dgn jelas org sebelah tu pakai cutex. Lama jgk I dok tenung tangan dia nak tgok if its henna, but it’s not!

And as I told before, their kurang-sopan behaviours bleh tgok masa depa lepak kat family section tu lah (sila baca entry lepas).

Another thing is, kat sini wanita mmg xleh keluar sorang2. Sama ada u wait for ur husband to bring u out, or u may go out in a group of all ladies. So x payah nak berangan nak pi kedai beli gula ke hapa sorang2 diri. Mcm I mmg tnggu jek lah encik Amet balik. Luckily Amet mmg memahami jiwa I, as well as he is also kaki berjalan. Walaupun kdg2 I kesian gak kat dia sbb after balik keja penat2, then malam2 bwk we all keluar jalan2 pulak. But then, since dia pun sumtime boring gak kt umah, so mmg kerap sgt lah keluar (lgpun minyak murah hehehe). Cuma sometime, I still miss to drive on myself, and spend the whole day alone window shopping….…ouchhh…

Hmmm..apa lagi ek? i think tu jek dulu I nak share. Nanti bila I dh ingat apa2 larangan keras I tulis lagi kt sini oke. Ini pun kiri kanan I dh penuh dgn makhluk2 ketot menyebok giler nak tekan keybod…hY78390&75hb&# n

AL-RASHEED MALL

Today is Saudi's National Day. since ia jatuh pada hari Khamis which is already the weekend, so dapat replacement cuti hari Sabtu. Yahooo..!!! Heheehe..Amet jek la yg cuti, I ni keja kat umah tetap kena buat...huhuhu

So after Asar, Amet took us to Al-Khobar, another city yg lebih maju n modern sikit compared to Jubail. ada banyak tempat menarik kat sana. but our intention mainly is to hunt for Malaysian food at the Malaysian Kitchen. and maybe to go to IKEA kalau sempat.

Dipendekkan cerita, our pening-lalat-Garmin didn't show the place, so no choice, kami sekali lagi ke Al-Rasheed Mall. actually last 2 weeks dh pi sini with my MIL. but since i didnt cerita anything about this place yet, so xpalah, entry ni will be about Al-Rasheed Mall.

Al-Rasheed Mall ni boleh dikatakan lebih kurang mcm One Utama, or maybe PAviliion jugak. And as u can see in the pix, i didnt wear hijab sbb tempat nih kira mcm modern skt, and orang-orang kat sini pun agak open-minded sikit, plus banyak foreigner jugak kat sini. so tak takut sgt kena renungan tajam pak arab. however, be it minah saleh, or mek jepun or malay me, wajib kena pakai abaya. cuma yg minah saleh and non-muslims lain tu depa x pakai tudung, or ada yg just belit2 jek shawl kat leher gitu.

Okeh, dalam mall ni terbahagi kepada beberapa "wings".

ada tempat for entertainment : games (ala-ala Time Square tuh), ada section for Go-Kart, and so on lah. but...definitely no cinemas hehehe...

then their so-called Food Court which 80% are fast food (again! douhh...). and disebabkan dh muak dgn fastfood, so konon-kononnya we chose to have chinese food...which is sgt mahal and xdek rasa "kechinesean" langsung! Oh so baddd...we just eat siikiiiitt sgt sbb xleh nk telan dh.

I buat-buat muka senyum telan chinese food (konon) ni. padahal...phuhhhh...sabar jek la..

The price is SR24 and tak sedap gillerr!!!

Another wing of this mall called "plaza". and here is the place dimana all the glems n mahai-giler-butiks are. ada Guess, DKNY, Salvatore Ferragamo, Miss Sixty, Nine West, MANGO, Armani Exchange, Coach, and bla bla blahhhh la x mampu nak beli pun...hahhahaha. tapi we all gedik2 jek masuk all the butiks tengok2, pegang2, heheheh. tak sampai hati i nak galas handbag yg boleh bayar installment rumah 2 bulan tuh huhuhu...

tapi kan selamber jek minah-minah Arab nih pilih baju blaus or handbag, shoes yg beratus beribu tu, and betul2 depa gi bayar! pastu kan depa pilih baju yg seksi habis. padahai, nak keluar gi mana semua kena pakai abaya and hijab.membazir betoi baju mahai2 pakai kat umah jek. tapi gitulah nak kata betapa kaya gilernya org Arab nih, baju DKNY boleh buat baju dalam jek! (kebanyakannya kaya, tapi ada jugak yg moderate n susah n mtk sedekah).

And lepas penat jalan2, plus berhempas pulas bersama dua kanak2 yg macam2 akai nih, we stop for a coffee. Amet got himself Starbuck, while me, konon-kononnya nak try something new, chose the Seatle Best Coffee (same as Cinnabon). and...hehhehe biasalah, mesti terkena punya! Langsng tak best! Benci okeh hari ni asyik kena food yg x best jek! Hohohoo...


Rehat sat kat Family Section of the Cinnabon. kat Arab ni jgn ko gatai-gatai nak gi lepak sesuka hati kat kedai kopi / restaurant. mesti cari family section, baru pompuan bleh masuk. And klu nak tau, kat family section ni, u can see all the kurangsopan punya behaviour of the arab ladies..yes. yg duduk mengangkang, yg letak kaki atas meja, yg selak abaya sampa ke peha. seriously. and they are LADIES okeh...thats why lah gamaknya dea sediakan separate section nih...

Our last station was Jarir Bookstore, ala-ala MPH gitu. we just bought a cartoon magazine for Zuzu and balikkk... sekian kisah perjalanan yg sesat n melencong ke tempat lain.

okeh i need to google for MAlaysian Kitchen coordinates so that i can key-in in the GPS. bye.

FANATEER MALL

Actually our visit to Fanateer Mall ni was masa cuti Hari Raya yg lepas.it was on 4th day of raya to be exact (as u can see the printed date on the pictures).

okeh, apa yg menarik kat sini? well...lebih kurang sama ja mcm shopping complex lain. tapi yg ni xlah besar. hmmm..maybe mcm The Store Sg. Buloh tu lah. ada banyak kedai-kedai n butik0butik kt dalam ni. paling byk i think, kedai baju n perfume kot.

Apa yg lain dari yg lain kt sini ialah, MALAM IS ONLY OPEN FOR FAMILY. Hehehehe sounds good kan? so selesalah sikit zuzu n yaya nak berlari without terlanggar the teenagers yg selalunya memenuhi shopping complex.

kami just jalan-jalan untuk tengok apa yg ada kat sini.so that next time senang skt kalau nak beli apa-apa sbb dah tau where to find what.

HEHEHEHE..and i already found my "target"hehehehe....well..its the Kryolan TV Paint Stick which is only SR65 here!!! Yuuhhuuu...(@Malaysia is RM75).

Tapi..last2 i x beli pun sebab asyik dok kalut mengejar zuzu yaya yg asyik dok terkam kedai toys yg very-very attractive kat situ. Gggrrrrrrr...

While my MIL bought a handbag for herself, and few souvenirs for Along n CikNgah (my SILs).

Ini ialah kt kedai souvenir n home deco yg lawa2 giler itu...

Ini pulak ialah dua notty girl yg amat memenatkan ibu...

And just before keluar dari mall, i ternampak Mothercare and try masuk tgok if i can find botoi susu yg besaq sikit for Yaya sbb ususally i kena buat susu dua kali for her as she drinks about 13oz one shot, and we only have 8oz punya botoi. As i know Avent mmg ada 12oz size. tapi bila tanya, the salesboy (sini mmg tak ade salegirl okehh...) cakap saiz besaq punya dh hbs.

so just ambik jek yg 9oz punya sbb lgpun botoi kt umah tu dh buruk.and bila tgok harga dia...cuba teka for Twin Pack 2 x 9oz Avent 0%BPA (bukan yg PP tuh ok...) berapakah harganya???

Hehhehe....gelak besar la ibu...it's only SR56!!!! Hahahahha....well..well..well...find it kt Malaysia, masa sales pun still RM70 lagi yee..!!!

Kawan2 ingat lagi tak Bahasa Arab? Ad-Dajaj = Ayam.

And lastly,singgah beli fast food utk tapau balik. kat area Fanateer ni ialah penuh berderet dgn fastfood restaurants, name it - yg biasa ada kt Malaysia : Pizza Hut, KFC, Burger King, Krispy Kreme etc. or lain2 yg glemer kat Middle East like Tikka, Baba *apantah*, Hardees, Kudu and others.

Oh oh... actually i ada baaaaaaaaaanyak cerita nk tulis. tp masalahnya i xdek mood nak menaip. instead of busy with the house chores, nak entertain my helpful n handful princesses pun ambik masa jugak.

and now that the bulan puasa dh habis, my encik Amet keep on ordering macam-macam menu (amboi-amboi..mentang2lah i ni fulltime housewife naa...). so that keeps me busy (hehehe boleh la alasan ni kan?)

so itu jeklah nak explain why i lama sikit offline ari tuh. its not that internet connetion problem or what, but it's me-mood-comnnetion problem hehehhehe...

oh cerita pasal PULUT SERUNDING kat atas tu, ia terhasil apabila i menyedari ada sgt banyak beras pulut dlm rumah ini and adalah tak tahu nak buat apa.and knowing that zuzu is so-o hantu pulut, i pun just kukus jek lah pulut tuh.and bila dh siap, ternampaklah pulak serunding saki-baki raya tu, so terus tetiba jek menjadikan ia bebola pulut yg disalutkan pada serunding itu. zuzu n yaya amat sgtlah suka, sebijik-sebijik depa pop up masuk mulut. hmmm...berbaloi-baloi jugaklah i masak pulut nih.

oklahh next entry i akan cerita few tempat menarik (oh,menarik ke??) that we've visited. oraittt...till then,bubbye..
